When Time Comes is the first series from Eldar Brothers Studios. The studio's site calls it an anthology: one morning, everyone can see a number above every person they meet. The number counts down, and every number ends on the same day.
What it is about
The site is plain about what the series is not. It is not a mystery about where the timers came from, and nobody in the story finds out. Each episode follows one person and what they do with the time they have left, once they can no longer pretend it is unlimited.
How it looks
The studio's press kit describes an oil-painting style: thick brushstrokes and canvas texture over realistic anatomy, a muted, desaturated palette, never cartoon and never photorealism. The press kit also calls it an AI-first production. What that means for this blog and for the series is on the page how we make it.
If the look is what brought you here, the article on oil painting animation covers the films that were painted by hand, frame by frame.
How to watch
Nothing has aired yet; the studio's site lists the series as in preparation. It plans 1,015 episodes and says each one stands alone, so you can start anywhere. Of the channels listed on the studio's site, only Telegram is open so far.
